HOSPITALITY
MEMORABLE
COMFORTABLE
FUNCTIONAL
Smart, beautiful spaces, spot-on amenities, and memorable experiences? Check, check, and check. More important? Our full-service model means many minds are chiming in as we push the boundaries on “standard” (read: boring)—to achieve a destination that your guests look forward to “coming home to” and visiting again and again.
At Koru, we honor your unique vision from the start. Bring your idea to us, and we’ll bring the depth of knowledge and powerful foresight you’ll need to create a truly exceptional experience for guests.
This means getting to know you, but also gaining a deep understanding of your guests. Because after all, that’s who we’re ultimately designing for.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
BEST WESTERN
Thoughtful consideration went into updating and rebranding an existing hotel building to modernize its public areas while infusing elements of the Best Western brand. Being sensitive to the existing structure of the building was critical. In collaboration with the building’s new owner, we were able to effectively renovate the entire façade, modernize the porte cochere with a flat roof, add a new outdoor seating area with a fire pit, and add a small addition that substantially enhances the breakfast room and lobby seating all within budget. The renovation increased building occupancy and enhanced the guest experience.

A SPACE THAT WORKS FOR YOU
The functionality, safety, and overall appeal of Koru designs lead to well-planned spaces where guests feel comfortable. Whether “comfort” means a trendy, industrial aesthetic with exposed brick walls and vintage furniture, or instead a sustainable space with living green walls, reclaimed wood and natural water features, we can get it done. But even more, we can make the space work for you.
Your hospitality project should reflect the brand, identity and culture of the people who live, work, and play there every day. From front-desk activities to guest rooms, signage, common areas and amenities, details are the difference. We’ve got them covered with elements like color schemes, materials, and artwork—those finishing touches that faithfully reinforce your brand.
At Koru, we don’t do shortcuts. Functional and efficient flow from our designs because we fine-tune our roadmaps in ways that matter. Prototype designs and drawings can be a starting point, but we spend the time to review the drawing and redraw it to be easily constructable. This small up-front investment to translates into incredible savings during construction.
A SPACE FOR ALL
Lodging projects are focused on meeting the needs of those who use them every day. Because Koru takes the time to learn what these things mean for each client, we can incorporate elements that result is a safe and inclusive environment for your guests to fully enjoy their experience.
A SPACE FOR TOMORROW
Flexibility and sustainability are important considerations for Koru’s hospitality projects. Our plans include adaptable spaces to accommodate growth and changing needs. We use eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems, and sustainable practices. Plus, we can design with future growth in mind to help mitigate future investments.
BALANCING PRIORITIES
Most hospitality projects have strict budgets and timelines. We’re used to balancing design aspirations with practical limitations to deliver a successful project on time and within budget.
